Subject: STEREO lives! - P1 perigees on target with successful A1 burns
The Goddard Flight Dynamics Facility sent us new state vectors for the STEREO spacecraft 45 minutes ago.  My propagation of these vectors, including the planned Engineering Burns #2, show that the first (November 6th) perigee heights of both spacecraft are now 504 km, 504.2 km for Ahead and 504.3 km for Behind - good shooting, G&C & Ops!  Jose Guzman confirms these calculations, stating:

Looks good!!! Do you see the same:

I get (without E2 burns)

Altitude Of Periapsis = 498.79 for Ahead

Altitude Of Periapsis = 499.32 km for Behind

As you can see, the E2 burns raise the perigees a little more. The P1 perigee times are

6 Nov 2006 09:08:37.118 for Ahead and

6 Nov 2006 07:44:14.276 for Behind (these are UT; subtract 5h for EST).  No collision, they're separting nicely.
