0001.JPG 1st sighting, camera stationary.
Object is trail middle left edge
Time approx 01h21m40.8s UT.Exposures
are 1.92 seconds each.Times reported for
positions are the instant the captured
frame changes.
No image processing done, no dark frame
applied but I hand removed the known bright
dead pixels.
0001A.JPG Same as 00001.jpg, slightly enhanced.
0002.JPG Slightly longer frames capture so trail a little
longer
0002A.JPG How much the object moved in one integration.
0003.JPG Immediately after previous exposure went into
"track mode", stars now trail and object appears
as "stationary". The gain in magnitude of the
satellite is obvious.
0004.JPG First major increase in brightness
0005.JPG "Average" magnitude for this part of pass
stereo2.JPG "Average" magnitude for this part of pass;
The two bright stars are eta and mu Geminorum (Propus and
Tejat), while the two relatively faint stars above and
below STEREO are 12 and 11 Geminorum, respectively.
0006A.JPG 2nd major increase in brightness. Object at left edge-
I was scanning about area for anything else.
The vertical black lines are cables.
0007.JPG "Average" brightness for this part of pass
0008.JPG "Average" brightness for this part of pass
0009.JPG Minor increase in brightness
0010.JPG "Average" brightness for this part of pass. White
mass is cloud
0011.JPG Major increase brightness , looks like period
about 2 minutes
0012.JPG "Average" brightness for this part of pass now
0013.JPG Major increase in brightness ( right edge of cloud)
Black lines across image are overhead power lines.
0014.JPG Brightening - mostly invisible now.
0015.JPG Major increase
0016.JPG Major increase-below 2nd power line
shortly after this moved into solid cloud....:-((
